The incident took place in one of Jelenia Góra’s discount grocery stores. The two men, aged 20 and 27, stole two bottles of whisky and two mascaras. (The value of the stolen property was PLN 138.)
When a security guard tried to take the loot from the thieves, a struggle broke out. One of the suspects struck the guard in the face.
The attackers were detained and taken to police custody. As they explained to the officers, the whisky was for them and the mascaras were for their girlfriends.
The two “romantics” now face up to 10 years in prison.
