On 31 October, at around 7:10 a.m., police officers on duty in Miłków noticed a Seat whose manner of driving indicated that the driver might be under the influence of alcohol. The officers stopped the driver for a roadside check. He turned out to be a 30-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. The man was travelling with a 29-year-old passenger.
It emerged that the 30-year-old had most likely been driving under the influence of drugs. What is more, both men travelling in the Seat had narcotics in their possession and were wanted because they had prison sentences to serve. (The driver was also subject to a driving ban.)
Both detainees were taken to pre-trial detention. They now face an additional sentence of up to three years in prison.
