Other road users alerted officers to the dangerous driving of a 37-year-old Ukrainian man. Police stopped the driver of an 18-ton truck for inspection. It turned out that the Ukrainian citizen, who was returning from Germany, was completely drunk. He had more than 3 promille of alcohol in his system. (It emerged that the suspect had been drinking at a rest stop and then—without a care in the world—set off again.)
The man was detained and placed in police custody. He could now face up to two years behind bars.
