Due to the safety of children and young people, officers from the Zgorzelec police station appeal to all road users to exercise particular caution and observe traffic regulations in the vicinity of schools:
Let us remember that improving the safety of children and young people near schools depends to a large extent on parents and guardians who drive their children to school and pick them up. We appeal to all road users to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Act and, in the vicinity of schools, to observe regulations concerning parking and stopping in prohibited places, on pavements, near pedestrian crossings and at intersections, as well as to observe speed limits.

They add:
Parents who drive their children to school and then pick them up should remember the obligation to transport their children in safety seats or special booster seats. This applies to children under 150 cm tall.
We also remind you that children under seven may not travel on the roads independently—they must be supervised by a person at least ten years old.
