Criminal investigators from Lwówek Śląski detained a 33-year-old man suspected of drug-related offenses. In the detainee’s apartment, officers found 720 doses of marijuana, 140 doses of methamphetamine and 99 ecstasy tablets.

– Officers from Lwówek Śląski continuously monitor the drug trade in Lwówek County. The police priority is to remove as many intoxicating substances from circulation as possible so that they do not reach young people – says asp. szt. Mateusz Królak, spokesperson for the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – In addition to typically enforcement-oriented activities, Lwówek police officers are also launching preventive measures throughout the county. The activities carried out as part of the Polish-German police project entitled “No to Drugs…” are intended to increase the effectiveness of the police in combating drug-related crime.

The 33-year-old detainee could face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
