For the 23rd time, young people from across the country will have the opportunity to compete for the title of best team in five fitness events. Over two days, 14 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete against one another. The organisers of the championships are the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company, the Baryt Search and Rescue Unit from Złotoryja, and the 23rd Artillery Regiment.
The championships were officially opened by Dorota Szwejser from the Ministry of National Defence’s Department of Education, Culture and Heritage, the commander of the Bolesławiec artillery unit, Col. Paweł Świtalski, and the vice-president of the Commando Association, Bogdan Fiałkowski. After the parade and presentation of the participating teams, fierce competition began.
These championships are not only a sporting competition and an opportunity to integrate various youth communities; they are also intended to develop qualities such as discipline, physical and mental resilience, and the ability to work as a team. They also provide an opportunity to test skills useful in military service or other activities supporting the defence of the state.
