The arrest of a 25-year-old resident of Złotoryja County took place on September 4. Officers from the Zgorzelec-based “Nysa” group determined that vehicles originating from thefts might be stored on one of the properties in the Pieńsk commune. A Mercedes GLC equipped with a GSM signal jammer was found in the garage. After the vehicle identification numbers were thoroughly checked, it turned out that the car had indeed been stolen in Germany.
The car, worth over PLN 350,000, was secured. The 25-year-old suspected of handling stolen goods could face up to 10 years in prison.
