Bolesławiec detectives spotted a man riding a bicycle that had been stolen from one of the cellars several days earlier. As it turned out, the 42-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was also responsible for breaking into the cellar in question. Officers recovered two stolen bicycles.
Moreover, it emerged that the 42-year-old was involved in other crimes committed in Bolesławiec over the past three months. The man stole as many as 11 bicycles.
The 42-year-old stole bicycles left in stairwells and broke into cellars and garages. He told officers that he had sold the stolen property to random people.
The arrested man admitted to committing a total of 14 offenses and gave a statement. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
