The incident occurred on 16 August in the evening. The duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a report about three people walking along the viaduct and kicking a ball. A Municipal Police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene.
When they saw the uniformed officers, the “footballers” began to run away. They were apprehended a moment later. Since they were not carrying any reliable identity documents, they were taken to the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
It turned out that one of them was a minor. The other two were issued fines. What is more, it emerged that one of those who had been fined was wanted by a court in Legnica. The young man had escaped from the juvenile detention centre in Koźmin Wielkopolski. (Further proceedings in this case are being conducted by the Bolesławiec police.)
The Municipal Police remind residents that entering the viaduct area is punishable by a fine of up to PLN 500.
