Recently, frequent thefts had been occurring at one of the gas stations in Zgorzelec County, including car accessories, sweets and fuel. Police identified and arrested a 29-year-old man suspected of these crimes.
The man, who had previously been in conflict with the law, was taken into police custody. He has already been charged with nine counts of theft. The victims estimated their losses at nearly PLN 10,000.
The arrested 29-year-old confessed to the crimes. He now faces up to five years in prison.
