The incident took place in April this year. The 38-year-old went to one of the stores in the Kunice municipality and began threatening the saleswoman, saying he would kill her. At the time, he was waving a telescopic baton.
Last weekend, the situation happened again, except this time the perpetrator arrived with an uncapped jerry can. He threatened to set the store on fire.
A witness to the incident notified the police. The witness hid the aforementioned jerry can from the 38-year-old to prevent a tragedy.
A moment later, the suspect ran out of the store and went home. Officers found him there. When they entered his apartment, the 38-year-old began waving a knife and threatened the officers with death.
The officers subdued the perpetrator and placed him in police custody. The court ordered the knife-wielding suspect held in temporary custody for three months. The suspect could face up to 10 years in prison.
