The incident occurred at the beginning of July in one of the shops in Jelenia Góra. The victim left her handbag unattended for a moment. A 63-year-old woman noticed this and... decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The thief stole a handbag containing money, documents, bank cards and a mobile phone. The victim estimated her losses at PLN 4,000.
Based on information obtained by the officers and surveillance footage, a woman suspected of committing the crime was identified. She was arrested when she appeared at the shop again.
At the suspect’s home, officers found some of the stolen property. The 63-year-old woman now faces up to five years in prison.
