The duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica was notified of damage to a bus shelter on Sudecka Street. He immediately dispatched officers from the prevention department to the scene. Shortly afterward, the officers received information that someone who had been near the shelter had called an ambulance because of a cut hand.
After receiving medical assistance, the 20-year-old was detained. He spent the night in police custody. As it turned out, the young man had argued with his girlfriend and taken his anger out on the bus stop. What is more, he was drunk when detained, with more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The damage was estimated at more than PLN 600. The young vandal faces up to 5 years in prison.
