The incident occurred on June 20, after 3:00 p.m., on Bolesławiecka Street in Pieńsk. Police stopped the driver of a Škoda vehicle for a roadside inspection. The driver was a 27-year-old resident of Zgorzelec municipality. The man was very agitated, so the officers decided to test him with a drug tester.
It turned out that the 27-year-old was driving under the influence of drugs. The man's driving licence was confiscated, and he was taken to hospital, where blood was drawn for testing.
The resident of Zgorzelec municipality could now face up to two years in prison.
