On Monday, June 5, we reported that a 250-kilogram German-made aerial bomb had been found in Świętoszów. It turned out that it had been placed beneath a span of the local bridge. According to bomb disposal experts from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, the object could have exploded at any moment.

The bomb contains 130 kg of explosive. Its blast radius is 1 km. When this type of projectile fell on, for example, a tenement building, it could pierce six floors, fall into the basement and blow up the building from the inside.

Access to Świętoszów is blocked. The bomb disposal experts are waiting for a crane to lift the bomb so that the projectile can be detonated at the training ground.
