The incident occurred when police officers, while on afternoon duty in the city, were checking a car. At one point, they heard a man calling from one of the cars stopped in traffic. The Volvo driver shouted that his daughter, who was in the car, was giving birth. He asked the officers to help him reach the hospital quickly.
The police officers responded immediately. With their audible and visual signals activated, they escorted the car carrying the pregnant woman all the way to the hospital. The woman was placed under the care of doctors. A few minutes later, her baby boy was born.
