The 50th anniversary of the Municipal Honorary Blood Donors’ Club of the Polish Red Cross named after Dr. Jadwiga Waśko-Kwaszy in Bolesławiec was an excellent opportunity to thank all Club members for their many years of noble commitment and efforts to promote the idea of donating blood to save human health and lives.
Over the years, many members have received awards for the blood they donated. The anniversary meeting was also an opportunity to present further distinctions—to Kazimiera Stasiak and Adam Fras. Honors and distinctions also went to Ludwik Czajkowski, Bogdan Oroń, Leszek Gudzowski, Jarosław Polak, Jacek Dudyński, Zbigniew Kogut, Mariusz Kobierski and the entire Bolesławiec blood donors’ club. Roman Bodak, president of the Bolesławiec club, was honored with the Gold Badge of Merit for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The activities of the Municipal Honorary Blood Donors’ Club of the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec are not limited solely to blood donation. Its members also organized many community initiatives and took part in educational, tourism and recreational events.
