Officers arrested a 53-year-old man suspected of attempting to burgle two shops. Arrested on 7 April, he tried to break into one of the grocery shops in Jelenia Góra. He was unsuccessful, damaging only the windowpanes and strips in the shopfront.
The next failed theft attempt took place 13 days later. This time, the 53-year-old tried to break into a jewellery shop using a paving stone. Once again, he only damaged the window.
The unlucky burglar admitted to the offence. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
