Two drivers under the influence of drugs were apprehended by Legnica officers on Monday, May 15. At 7:40 a.m., traffic police stopped the driver of a Mitsubishi Sigma, a 28-year-old resident of Legnica, for a roadside check. The Legnica resident was behaving very strangely, so he was tested with a drug test. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed—the 28-year-old’s driving licence was confiscated and he was taken to hospital, where his blood was drawn.
Another driver caught driving under the influence of drugs was a 24-year-old resident of Legnica, the driver of a Ford Mondeo. (He was caught at 7:50 p.m. on Kazimierza Wielkiego Street.)
Both detainees now face up to two years in prison.
