On May 8, 1945, Germany signed an unconditional surrender that ended the war in Europe, which had continued since September 1, 1939. On the 72nd anniversary of victory over Nazism, veterans and war veterans, representatives of the city and county authorities, uniformed services, and young people from Bolesławiec schools gathered at the monument to the soldiers of the 2nd Army of the Polish Army in Bolesławiec. They all came to pay tribute and express their respect to the soldiers and heroes who fought on all the fronts of the war.
