The incident occurred at the beginning of May in Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. Police officers from Kruszyn took up the case. It turned out that someone had broken into a grocery store and stolen various goods, including alcohol, as well as taking a surveillance recorder worth more than PLN 3,000.
What is more, the burglar—thinking that this would make him impossible to catch—damaged the surveillance cameras. Despite this, the officers identified and detained a suspect. He is a 36-year-old from Chocianów municipality.
The thief admitted to the crime. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
