During the May Day weekend, officers caught 9 drunk drivers. There was 1 accident on the county's roads. It occurred in Zawidów. The driver of a Ford Mondeo, a 39-year-old resident of Zawidów, lost control of the vehicle on a bend, drove onto the roadside and then hit a tree. An 18-year-old passenger was injured and taken to hospital. It turned out that the man was drunk, with more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.
Furthermore, traffic police officers stopped as many as 13 drivers who exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area. The record holder sped through Koźmin at nearly 135 km/h. All thirteen lost their driving licences and received PLN 500 fines.
In addition, officers caught 6 people who had violated a court ban on driving cars, as well as eight wanted people.
The uniformed officers intervened 211 times. They arrested 18 people in the act.
