The detention took place on April 6. Border Guard officers from Zgorzelec detained a Moldovan man who helped at least 20 Chechens illegally cross the border of the Republic of Poland.
The man admitted to the acts he was charged with and voluntarily submitted to punishment. He received a one-year suspended prison sentence, with the suspension lasting 12 months. He will also forfeit the money he earned from Russian citizens. The amount was—quite a substantial sum—PLN 12,000.
