Road police officers, together with municipal police officers, carried out an operation aimed at disciplining drivers who violate traffic regulations. The officers detected 81 offences related to incorrect vehicle parking. It turned out that drivers had parked at a pedestrian crossing, on a hatched area, in a bus bay or at an intersection. What is more, they ignored the no-stopping sign, parked incorrectly on the pavement and in a residential zone.

Seven drivers were cautioned, and 58 received fines. In four cases, the officers submitted requests to court, while in two cases the vehicles were removed at the owners’ expense.

“The main aim of the operation was to eliminate incorrect parking and oblige vehicle users to comply with the applicable legal regulations concerning stopping and parking vehicles,” said officers from Jelenia Góra.
