The mobile blood collection point of the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Therapy Centre was set up on Piłsudski Square on Monday, 20 March. A dozen or so uniformed officers from the County Police Headquarters and the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, as well as civilian employees, joined the “spoKREWnini służbą” campaign.
By donating blood to those in need, each of them paid tribute to the Cursed Soldiers. During the campaign, which was held under the patronage of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, nearly 5 litres of blood were collected.
Police: “We remind you that these activities are connected with 1 March, when we observe the National Remembrance Day of the ‘Cursed Soldiers’. Blood collection will also be possible from 21 to 24 March, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre.
