Officers from the Police Station in Bogatynia stopped a Volkswagen driver for a routine check. The officers detected a strong smell of alcohol from the man. Their suspicions were confirmed by a breath test. The 40-year-old was completely drunk, with nearly 3.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
What is more, it turned out that the arrested man has a lifetime driving ban because he had previously been convicted of drunk driving.
He now faces up to two years in prison.
