The incident occurred during the night of 14–15 March, at the 16th kilometre of the A4 motorway. At around 1:00 a.m., the driver of a passenger car travelling towards Wrocław lost control of the vehicle and hit an energy-absorbing barrier. The car came to a stop in the very middle of the motorway.
One person was injured. Four fire service units took part in the operation (two from KP PSP Bolesławiec, one from Zgorzelec and firefighters from Czerna), as well as an ambulance crew and the police.
Update
The driver failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions and was fined PLN 300. The man was sober and, fortunately, suffered no more serious injuries.
