The incident occurred at the end of January in Bolesławiec. Under cover of darkness, the man selected two Volkswagen vans parked in an unguarded parking lot. After damaging the lock cylinders, he stole car radios, documents, car parts and tools from inside them. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 1,200.
The 23-year-old suspect was arrested. Effective work by criminal investigators and the evidence gathered enabled charges of two counts of burglary to be brought against the man.
The perpetrator confessed. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
