District police officers from Lubin detained a 17-year-old resident of Lubin who, in February alone, robbed shops of nearly PLN 4,500. The teenager stole on a large scale. His loot included entire cartons of food products and expensive alcohol.
On Tuesday, February 28, he also tried to steal alcohol from one of the shops. He did not succeed—security guards apprehended him.
The teenager is well known to the police. At the beginning of February, he was detained in connection with theft, but at that time he was not yet 17. His birthday was in mid-February, so he will now be held responsible for his act as an adult. He faces up to five years in prison.
