The driver was stopped on Monday, February 27, in the Nowogrodziec municipality. Police officers from the Bolesławiec traffic unit stopped the 58-year-old driver of a VW vehicle for inspection after he exceeded the speed limit by 27 km/h in a built-up area. During the conversation, the officers smelled alcohol on the Volkswagen driver. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed—the test showed 0.25 parts per mille.

Moreover, it came to light that the man was an employee of a security company from Legnica County and transported money. In addition, the detainee had a service firearm with him.

The 58-year-old lost his driving licence and his firearm, along with ammunition. Interestingly, a sober passenger who had a driving licence was travelling in the car with the driver.
