Police officers from the Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 19-year-old man with no permanent place of residence, who is suspected of burglary at an allotment cottage. The police were notified by an allotment gardener who, while out for a walk, heard noise coming from one of the cottages. Inside, he saw a young man who, after forcing the door open, intended to rob it. When the latter noticed the gardener, he threatened him with a knife and fled.
The police established a description of the would-be burglar. They detained him several streets away. The 19-year-old was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
