The collision occurred on February 6, after 8:00 p.m., in Żarska Wieś. When police officers arrived at the scene, one of the people involved caught their attention: he could barely stand. It turned out that he was the one who, driving a Chevrolet passenger car, crossed into the opposite lane and hit a truck traveling correctly.
The passenger-car driver was completely drunk; he had a blood alcohol concentration of 2.5 per mille. He now faces a sentence of up to two years in prison.
