All the crimes occurred during the night of January 25–26 in the vicinity of the 40th Anniversary Estate in Bolesławiec. A Reader informed us about the matter:
In the morning, I discovered that the mirrors had been stolen from my car. When I came to the police station, it turned out that this had been a thieves’ major spree. The woman who questioned me said that by 11:00 a.m. she had received around 30 reports of thefts.
Twelve of those reports concerned the theft or attempted theft of mirror inserts from more expensive cars. Activities aimed at establishing the perpetrators’ identity and apprehending them (or the perpetrator) are ongoing. The thieves could face up to five years in prison.
