On December 28, police officers from the Lubin traffic unit stopped the driver of an Opel passenger car for inspection. It turned out that the 34-year-old resident of Lubin commune was banned from driving any motor vehicles and was also wanted under an arrest warrant. What is more, she had thefts on her record. In one of the mobile phone chain stores, she stole a phone worth PLN 600. The suspect then stole clothing worth nearly PLN 700.

It also came to light that, at the time of the thefts, the woman was caring for her friend’s 3-year-old child. She used the child’s stroller to transport the stolen items.

The 34-year-old was taken into police custody. She faces up to five years in prison. Officers recovered some of the stolen property.
