Officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 25-year-old man suspected of robbery. The incident occurred in the afternoon on one of the city’s streets. The suspect took advantage of the victim’s momentary inattention and snatched a mobile phone worth PLN 500 from his hand.
The teenager demanded that the phone be returned. The 25-year-old attacker then threatened to beat him and disfigure him with a knife. The victim notified the police of the crime and provided a description of the aggressor. The suspect was detained several streets away. He had the stolen phone with him, and it has already been returned to its owner.
The detained repeat offender was taken to police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
