Police officers from the Criminal Division of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters identified and detained a 16-year-old suspected of raising a false bomb alarm. The incident occurred on November 10. Before noon, the teenager telephoned an employee of the District Court in Jelenia Góra and said that an explosive device had been planted in the courthouse. Officers from the bomb disposal unit, accompanied by sniffer dogs, searched the buildings but found no bomb.
The minor confessed to the crime. He explained that he had skipped school that day and wanted to impress his friends. The family court will decide the teenager’s fate.
