Police officers from Bolesławiec and Kruszyn identified and arrested two residents of Lwówek County, aged 22 and 32, suspected of committing robbery with a dangerous weapon. The incident took place in Bolesławiec Municipality. The suspects tricked the victim into stopping the vehicle she was driving and then, threatening her with a dangerous weapon—a machete—stole her wallet containing her documents.

The perpetrators turned out to be brothers who had already been convicted of crimes against property. The thieves had been operating in Bolesławiec, Lwówek and Złotoryja counties.

At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, the court temporarily detained both suspects for three months. The 22- and 32-year-olds now face up to 15 years in prison.
