The victim notified the Lubin police about the car theft. The vehicle had been parked in a designated disabled parking space and was marked accordingly. Despite this, someone stole it, apparently expecting this would make life more difficult for its owner.

Officers quickly determined who might be responsible for the theft. The suspect, a 33-year-old man from Lubin, was caught while driving the stolen vehicle. Even changing the registration plates did not help him.

The Volkswagen was returned to its owner. The arrested 33-year-old, who was taken into police custody, faces up to 10 years in prison.
