The eastern bypass of Bolesławiec will be 4 km long. It will connect the roundabout near Kruszyn with provincial road no. 297 towards Lwówek Śląski (at the level of the forester’s lodge). In the first stage, an 8-metre-wide road and two roundabouts will be built: one on provincial road no. 363 Bolesławiec–Złotoryja and the other on provincial road no. 297 Bolesławiec–Lwówek Śląski. A cycle path will be built along the entire length of the route for cyclists. Noise barriers over 400 metres long will provide a remedy for traffic noise.
As part of the second stage, the roundabout near Kruszyn will be reconstructed. According to the design, it will be a turbo roundabout. It will have five entrances and connect the new DW297 bypass with national road no. 94, the entrance to the city via Tysiąclecia Avenue, and access to the Kruszyn housing estate. The project is scheduled for completion in 2019. We reported in July on the planned construction of Bolesławiec’s eastern bypass and the turbo roundabout.
