The incident occurred at the end of July this year. An unidentified perpetrator stole a welding torch and accessories worth a total of PLN 1,500 from the site of a former cast-iron foundry in Gromadka municipality.
On 3 September, police officers from the Kruszyn police station arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of committing the theft. Officers found the missing equipment at his home. The property was returned to its rightful owner.
The 21-year-old admitted his guilt. He now faces up to five years in prison.
