On 23 May, the fifth competition in the Samsung Athletic Cup 2008 series was held in Poznań. Agnieszka Dalmata, an MKS Bolesłavia athlete, proved to be the best in the shot put. The result achieved by the 15-year-old athlete – 12.91 m – makes it possible to think about victory in the SAC final (15 June in Warsaw).

Paulina Olszowy also has reasons to be pleased, having set a new personal record. She completed the 600 m distance in 1:43.28 s, which gave her eighth place among 51 competitors. Javelin thrower Mateusz Bieńkowski also set a personal record in Poznań. The young athlete threw the javelin 44.75 m, taking first place. Agnieszka Bosek competed in the same event, finishing second with a result of 32.89 m.

Lower Silesian Championships in Bogatynia

During the championships held on 19 May, MKS Bolesłavia athletes won as many as nine medals. Karolina Kędzia (long jump) and Patryk Dudyński (110 m hurdles) won the titles of Lower Silesian champions. Dagmara Omiatacz (in two events: hammer throw and discus throw) and Katarzyna Romaszko became the province’s vice-champions. Bronze medals were awarded to Katarzyna Romaszko (400 m hurdles), Karolina Kędzia (javelin throw) and Adrian Skrzypacz (400 m). The athletes of Bolesłavia won the fourth bronze medal as a team (4 x 100 m relay).
