The celebration of the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade was held on 15 March in Bolesławiec's market square. During the ceremony, the youngest artillerymen took their oath; they had crossed the barracks gates less than a month earlier.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by Colonel Jerzy Kociałkowski, General Antoni Skibiński, Mayor Piotr Roman, City Council Chairwoman Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk, Deputy Bolesławiec County Head Stanisław Chwojnicki, and deans Stanisław Kusik and Andrzej Jarosiewicz. The guests also included former Brigade soldiers as well as commanders and heads of affiliated units.

That day, Privates Dawid Górny, Damian Dmitruk, Łukasz Pławiak and Bartosz Bęczkowski took the oath on the unit's standard. In addition, Dawid Górny and Nikodem Zdonek, the artillerymen who achieved the best results during basic training, were granted leave, while their parents received flowers and letters of congratulations.

During the ceremony, Colonel Roman Kłosiński, the Brigade's commander, thanked the soldiers who had recently returned from peacekeeping and stabilization missions in Lebanon, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

The further celebrations of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade's day included an impressive demonstration of dog training. The dogs were trained at the Service Dog Training Centre of the Łużyce Border Guard Branch in Lubań.

Next, members of the Fortress Artillery Company of the Kłodzko Fortress, dressed in Napoleonic-era uniforms, presented an outline of the history of artillery. The presentation ended with a ceremonial volley.

Meanwhile, in Piłsudski Square, Bolesławiec residents had the opportunity to see a display of artillery equipment. Young artists associated with the Youth Cultural Centre provided the musical accompaniment. Everyone interested could also learn about the nature of service in the Brigade and the recruitment criteria.
