The incident occurred after 6 p.m. on Chrobrego Street. A bus operated by one of the transport companies hit an elderly woman. The injured woman wanted to cross the road near the pedestrian crossing (at the intersection with Żwirki i Wigury Street). The vehicle was traveling from the PKP railway station toward Biedronka.
The woman was taken away by an ambulance. She was seriously injured. The police are establishing the cause of the accident.

The woman died in hospital late in the evening.

According to a police expert, the elderly woman was responsible for the accident because she stepped onto the road.
