Police officers are paying particular attention to the vehicles’ technical condition, the type of fuel used and drivers’ working hours, recorded using a tachograph.

This is not the first joint operation by the Lower Silesian and German police. Joint activities have been taking place since September, when the voivodeship police chief in Wrocław signed an agreement on the matter with representatives of the German services.

Technically defective lorries pose a deadly threat to other vehicles, especially passenger cars. The aim of the operation is to improve safety for all road users.
