Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec identified the perpetrator of numerous thefts and burglaries. They established that the 26-year-old resident of Zgorzelec broke into cars as well as utility and commercial premises from June to September. The man's haul included, among other things, a laptop, a scooter, car and CB radios, a mobile phone, catering equipment, bicycles, as well as documents, cigarettes and clothing.
The 26-year-old was arrested. He was charged with a total of 15 offences. The total losses suffered by the victims were estimated at more than PLN 30,000. At the request of the police and the prosecutor's office, the court remanded the suspect in custody for three months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
