Officers who deal with property crime on a daily basis stopped a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle with German registration plates for inspection. It turned out that it had been stolen in Germany. What is more, the officers found a tractor in the Mercedes’ cargo area that had also been obtained through a crime. The total value of the recovered property was €60,000.
Four men, aged between 26 and 34, were detained. Three of them were charged with burglary, while the fourth was charged with handling stolen goods. By court decision, two of the suspects were remanded in custody for three months. The thieves face up to 10 years in prison, while the fence faces up to five years.
