The arrest took place on September 26. Officers received a report of a burglary at one of the companies on Sudecka Street in Jelenia Góra. At the scene, the officers noticed a smashed window and the entrance door to the warehouse forced open. Not far from the scene, officers arrested a 20-year-old man who was fleeing with the stolen goods. They were washing and cleaning devices worth PLN 1,200, which have already been returned to their owner.
In addition, the officers established that the resident of Kowary had committed at least ten crimes in Jelenia Góra between June and September this year. They included thefts and burglaries. The 20-year-old broke into and robbed a pastry shop, a retail outlet and a drinks refrigerator, and attempted to break into a scouting supply warehouse. Moreover, the man stole power tools from an open utility room, two bicycles and two handbags. The victims’ total losses amount to several tens of thousands of zlotys.
The 20-year-old was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
