Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a 35-year-old man suspected of handling stolen goods. They determined that, while at a market in Jelenia Góra last week, the man bought a construction machine for smoothing concrete for PLN 500 and then listed it for... PLN 2,500 on one of the online portals.
It turned out that the machine had been stolen during a break-in to a vehicle several days earlier. The owner estimated the value of the equipment at PLN 6,000. Police officers recovered the stolen property and handed it over to the injured party. The detained 35-year-old will face charges of handling stolen goods. He could face up to five years in prison.
