Lubin police were notified of a break-in at a safe located in one of the restaurants in Lubin. An unknown perpetrator stole more than PLN 11,000. Criminal investigators took up the case. They quickly established the suspect’s identity, and he was arrested just a few hours later. Officers found most of the stolen cash in his possession.
As officers determined, the 43-year-old resident of Lubin had worked at the restaurant he robbed. This enabled him to learn his colleagues’ routines: he knew what time they started work. He arrived at the restaurant before them. After entering the premises, he broke into the safe and took PLN 11,000. He then went shopping. He did not have time to spend much, as he was caught by the police.
The 43-year-old resident of Lubin, suspected of breaking into the safe at the restaurant and stealing PLN 11,000, now faces up to 10 years in prison.
