The officers noticed a vehicle travelling at high speed. The measuring device showed that an Opel Corsa was travelling in a built-up area at... 88 km/h. One of the police officers signalled to the driver to stop. The aforementioned car initially slowed down and then accelerated sharply. The driver fled along residential roads. The police officers gave chase. At one point, the driver stopped the vehicle and began fleeing on foot. He was apprehended after several minutes.

As it turned out, the driver did not have a driving licence because it had previously been taken away from him for exceeding the permitted number of penalty points. The examination showed the presence of amphetamine and methamphetamine in the man's body. The detainee is a 21-year-old resident of Legnica. He now faces up to 2 years in prison.
